Oscar nominee Jake Gyllenhaal plays Officer Taylor, a Los Angeles police officer who works one of the toughest parts of the city with his partner and best friend, Officer Zavala, played by Michael Pena. They’re young, adventurous and good at what they do….Perhaps a little too good. When they cross paths with a major drug cartel operating with no rules whatsoever, they become the prime target of the criminal organization.
Written and directed by David Ayers (‘Training Day’), the film also touches on the families of Gyllenhaal and Pena’s characters. Anna Kendrick plays Gyllenhaal’s wife.
