In the Electric Mist“: Lt. Dave Robicheaux, a detective in New Iberia, Louisiana, is trying to link the murder of a local hooker to New Orleans mobster Julie (Baby Feet) Balboni, who is co-producer of a Civil War film.

At the same time, after Elrod Sykes, the star of the film, reports finding another corpse in the Atchafalaya Swamp near the movie set, Robicheaux starts another investigation, believing the corpse to be the remains of a black man who he saw being murdered 35 years before.

We all remember ‘The Gremlins’ from the 1980s. Word around Hollywood is that a remake of the Spielberg film is on the way, but not without his permission.

It has been reported that Warner Bros. is behind the recreation of the ‘Gremlins’ film. Details are still far and few between, however, we do know that Seth Grahame-Smith is producing alongside of David Katzenberg.

It sounds like it is only a matter of time before we see our favorite furry creatures on the big screen again!

Hart-Breaking Moment for Melissa

Melissa Joan Hart, also known as Sabrina the Teenage Witch or Clarissa, faced a difficult time yesterday when her charitable efforts were cancelled due to lack of interest. Her Kickstarter campaign for “Darci’s Walk of Shame” raised only $51,605 dollars this month.

With plans to raise close to $2 million, the 90s actress was very disappointed that she did not meet her expectations. The star has recently been busy with her ABC Family sitcom, “Melissa and Joey.”

Melissa Joan Hart revealed that the purpose for her campaign was to land a lead role since her movie “Drive Me Crazy.”

Movie Poster for “Gravity” Has Arrived

The scientific thriller, “Gravity” is finally on its way. Director Alfonso Cuaron has not provided us with much detail about the film, other than that it stars George Clooney and Sandra Bullock.

The trailer features two astronauts floating in space, that encounter a bit of trouble. Moviegoers need to go beyond the trailer to find out more about the film. Here’s the inside scoop: Sandra Bullock is a medical engineer on her first shuttle mission. When her and George Clooney’s shuttle is destroyed, the two are left battling the dark blackness that is space.

Gatsby’s Great Opening

Baz Luhrmann’s, “The Great Gatsby” opened with a bang at the box office this weekend, despite the negative reviews it received by movie critics. The 3D rendition of Fitzgerald’s ‘Roaring Twenties’ classic earned a shocking $51.1 million. The film was originally scheduled to have a Christmas release date, but was moved to early May.

The trailers backed with Jay-Z tunes created buzz, and led to skepticism among the film world. Driven by star-power, the film pulled through with a solid opening, while  dozens of moviegoers were disappointed leaving the theater.

‘Iron Man 3′ held on to the number one spot this weekend with $72.5 million, putting ‘Gatsby’ in second place. ‘Pain and Gain’ featuring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson pulled in for third place with just $5 million.
