FIRST LOOK: Behind-The-Scene Photos of Tom Cruise in ‘All You Need Is Kill’

From director Doug Liman comes the new sci-fi action film ‘All You Need Is Kill’ starring Tom Cruise based on a Japanese novel by Hiroshi Sakurazaka.  The movie follows a soldier in a war against aliens who finds himself reliving his last day in the battle over and over again after being killed, causing him to be a better soldier with every return experience.

Sounds a lot like Bill Murray’s ‘Groundhog Day’, but in a science fiction setting…in the future… with aliens… and in a bloody war.  Not so funny anymore, but it looks like it could be great!

Also starring is Emily Blunt as a soldier who fight alongside lead character Cruise, and Bill Paxton, a hardcore, gritty platoon sergeant.  (Check below for the official synopsis)

Official Synopsis:

The story unfolds in a near future in which a hive-like alien race, called Mimics, have hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault, shredding great cities to rubble and leaving millions of human casualties in their wake. No army in the world can match the speed, brutality or seeming prescience of the weaponized Mimic fighters or their telepathic commanders. But now the world’s armies have joined forces for a last stand offensive against the alien horde, with no second chances.

Lt. Col. Bill Cage (Cruise) is an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is unceremoniously demoted and then dropped—untrained and ill-equipped—into what amounts to little more than a suicide mission. Cage is killed within minutes, managing to take an Alpha down with him. But, impossibly, he awakens back at the beginning of the same hellish day, and is forced to fight and die again…and again. Direct physical contact with the alien has thrown him into a time loop—dooming him to live out the same brutal combat over and over.

But with each pass, Cage becomes tougher, smarter, and able to engage the Mimics with increasing skill, alongside Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski (Blunt), who has lain waste to more Mimics than anyone on Earth. As Cage and Rita take the fight to the aliens, each repeated battle becomes an opportunity to find the key to annihilating the alien invaders and saving the Earth.

WATCH: ‘Dark Skies’ Trailer, New Alien Abduction Horror Film

It’s been a long tome since I’ve seen a really good alien abduction flick in the theaters.  The last one that really had me scared was ‘The Fourth Kind’ which was based on actual events in Nome, Alaska, 2000.  Needless to say I’m never visiting that town, ever.

‘Dark Skies’ looks to touch on the similar classification of close encounters with aliens, in which the “fourth kind” denotes alien abductions.  And this poor family are definitely being abducted and manipulated.

From Blumhouse Productions this alien horror thriller is directed by Scott Charles Stewart (‘Priest’ and ‘Legion’) and stars Keri Russell, Josh Hamilton, and J.K. Simmons.

Synopsis:

The film is a psychological thriller about a suburban couple, Lacy and Daniel Barret (Keri Russell and Josh Hamilton) whose lives become a nightmare when a terrifying alien presence enters their home each night to prey upon their children. Increasingly isolated from skeptical friends and neighbors, the couple hires an expert (J.K. Simmons) and are then forced to take matters into their own hands to save their family.

WATCH: UFO? Giant Cylinder Crashes Into Volcano In Mexico!

Sooo this strange cylindric object was just captured entering the Popocatepetl Volcano in Mexico.  The Volcano is located in the state of Puebla, Mexico.  This footage was captured live from the Popo CAM on October 26, 2012 and then reported on national TV as the most important news broadcast in the country.  The length of what is reportedly being called an Unidentified Flying Object is estimated at 1 kilometer and the width at 200 meters. Which makes it HUGE!

Here’s the video courtesy Televisa…

What was it?  Why is it crashing into the earth’s magma?  What does this mean?  Is the earth really hallow?  Too many questions!  You decide.

But while you’re thinking of logical reasons, be sure to stream the documentary ‘U.F.O.’.

A personal journey that follows Pete Higgins as he explores the much publicised UFO activity in the town where he grew up.  The documentary offers an open minded glimpse into the notion of belief and scepticism in a small Irish Community.

Directed by Pete Higgins and starring Haktan Ackdogen and Grant Cameron.

‘PROMETHEUS’: New International Trailer & Images

Visionary filmmaker Ridley Scott returns to the genre he helped define by creating ‘Prometheus’, an original science fiction epic set in the most dangerous corners of the universe. Conceived as a prequel to Scott’s 1979 science fiction horror film ’Alien’, a separate story was developed that precedes the events of ‘Alien’, but which is not directly connected to the film.

The plot:

In the late 21st century, a star map is discovered within the imagery of Aztec, Mesopotamian and Magdalenian cultures. The crew of the spaceship Prometheus is sent on a scientific expedition to follow the map as part of a mission to find the origins of humanity. Exploring the advanced civilization of an extraterrestrial race, they soon face a threat to humanity’s very existence.

The film stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba, Logan Marshall-Green and Charlize Theron.

We’ve also included images of the epic film’s transportation and technology!
