New ‘MACHETE KILLS’ On-Set Photo of Alexa Vega in Studded Bikini and Chaps!

A new image from Robert Rodriguez’ ‘Machete Kills’ has been released featuring a sexy, bikini-clad Alexa Vega as the character Killjoy.  Ummm, this is the same little girl who starred in those tween-friendly ‘Spy Kids’ movies.  Which makes sense sine Robert Rodriguez created, wrote, and directed the entire ‘Spy Kids’ movie franchise.

…Bet you didn’t know that.

Spy Kids / Machete Kills

Rodriguez is currently in production on the sequel, which once again stars Danny Trejo as Machete and includes Jessica Alba, Mel Gibson, Amber Heard, Sofia Vergara and Zoe Saldana.

The new story sees Machete being called upon by the U.S. government to stop a cartel leader and an arms dealer who have a weapon in space.

‘ExTerminators’ is a 2009 dark comedy written by Suzanne Weinert and directed by John Inwood.  It stars Heather Graham, Amber Heard, Jennifer Coolidge, Matthew Settle, and Sam Lloyd.

The film was shot entirely on location in Austin Texas and was released at SXSW 2009.  It included scenes filmed downtown, in the South Congress area, the Austin State Hospital, and local neighborhoods.

Alex (Heather Graham) is a lonely accountant whose one act of rage results in her being sentenced to court-ordered therapy.  There she meets Stella (Jennifer Coolidge), owner of an extermination business who uses her car as a weapon, and Nikki (Amber Heard), a dental technician with the face of an angel and the mind of a sociopath.  Together these women form their own “silent revolution”, wreaking havoc on the abusive men in their lives.

‘Eastern College’ (2009) is a comedy directed by James Francis Flynn and starring Jonathan Dominic, Christopher Clark Cowan, Noah Applebaum, Brandon Lea, and Elizabeth Laidlaw.

Four recently graduated college roommates spend their last summer in a small town, experiencing their changing friendships, the relationships with the women in their lives, and the possibility that their alma mater might be shut down due to new administration.  In this outrageous independent comedy, Nathan (Jonathan Dominic), Dom (Christopher Clark Cowan), Justin (Noah Applebaum), and Bob (Brandon Lea) move into their recently deceased Dean’s house and start partying.  Their good times get a bit set back upon learning that the new President of their university, President Garlin (Elizabeth Laidlaw), intends to shut down their art school and turn it into a business school.  As Nathan does everything he can to keep their art school active and alive, his roommates continue to party and pick up girls, leading to a concluding confrontation between the students and President Garlin, and a subsequent final party at their house that ends with disastrous results.

‘The Garth Method’ is a comedy flick directed by Gregory Pakis and starring Garth Petridis, Katrina Baylis, and Scott Terrill.  If it’s not the strangest and most delusional comedy ever made, it is certainly the weirdest story ever told about an actor pursuing his big break!

In 2001, unemployed actor, Garth Petridis, was imprisoned for one of the most unusual crimes in Australian history.  Desperate for success he kidnapped members of the public and forced them to perform, at gunpoint, in scenes for a bizarre movie intended to make Garth a household name.  He kept a video diary of the whole process, and managed to film several scenes for his movie.  Upon his release from jail he convinced filmmaker Gregory Pakis to recreate the story of his life before his crimes, as well as the outrageous stunts he pulled on his victims of ‘method acting’.  The result is a disturbing satire, mixing recreation with the actual video diary of the hostages, and their acting in Garth’s movie – to create possibly the strangest comedy ever made, mixing terror and humor in the most unusual way.

Winning!

Charlie Sheen has been cast to play the U.S. president in ‘Machete Kills’, director Robert Rodriguez’s sequel to his Grindhouse action movie Machete.  The President role was originally written for an African-American president with a basketball court on the White House lawn, but Rodriguez has obviously since changed his mind.
