WATCH: ‘PACIFIC RIM’ Trailer With New Footage From CES!

The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) just ended in Las Vegas and BIGSTAR was there!  Hollywood was also there making its presence known with cross promotionals and celebrity endorsements, including new movie trailers with all new exciting footage like this one from Guillermo del Toro’s epic sci-fi movie ‘PACIFIC RIM’ due out July 12th!

The movie stars Charlie Hunnam from the hit drama series ‘Sons of Anarchy’, Idris Elba (‘Thor’), Rinko Kikuchi (‘The Brothers Bloom’), Charlie Day (‘Horrible Bosses’), and Ron Perlman (‘Hellboy’).  Also in the film are notable actors such as Max Martini, Robert Kazinsky, Clifton Collins, Jr., Burn Gorman, Larry Joe Campbell, DiegoKlattenhoff, and Brad William Henke.

Synopsis:

“When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes—a washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi)—who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind’s last hope against the mounting apocalypse.”

Channing Tatum Wants to Produce and Star in Evel Knievel Biopic

For the ladies: Channing Tatum.

And for the gentlemen: Evel Knievel.

According to THR, Channing Tatum is showing no signs of a slowing career as he is in talks to produce and play the lead role as Evel Knievel in a new biopic on the famed stuntman.  The film will be based on Life of Evel, Stuart Baker’s 2008 book on Knievel.

Tatum is having an outstanding rise to the top of Hollywood in 2012 with ’21 Jump Street’, ‘Magic Mike’, and ‘The Vow’.  It doesn’t end there as he’s set to be in a list of blockbuster movies this year and next, including ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’, ‘The Bitter Pill’, ‘White House Down’, ‘Foxcatcher’, and ‘Jupiter Ascending’.

For those of you who have been living in a box your entire life, Evel Knievel was a daredevil during the mid-60s and 70s.  The real deal.  Knievel attempted over 75 ramp-to-ramp jumps, including jumping 19 cars with his trusty Harley Davidson.  Knievel also holds the Guinness World Book record for most bones broken at a painful 433.  Robert Craig Knievel passed away in 2007 at 69 years young due to declining health.
