Cameron Diaz Wins the Role

After much contemplation by the producers of ‘Annie,’ the role of Miss Hannigan has finally been determined. Although Sandra Bullock was in the lead last week for the role, Will Smith and Jay-Z have decided to go with Cameron Diaz.

Diaz will play the role of the woman who is in charge of the orphanage in the film. Quvenzhane Wallis will play the lead role of ‘Annie’ alongside Foxx who will play the modern version of Daddy Warbucks.

Congrats, Cameron!

Scarlett Johansson’s Record-Breaking $20 Million Paycheck

Scarlett Johansson’s role as the Black Widow in The Avengers was such a hit that the producers are coming back for more. According to the New York Post, Scarlett has been offered a record-breaking $20 million to be a part of the sequel. This puts the starlet ahead of Angelina who earned $19 million for The Tourist back in 2010.

According to Forbes, Kristen Stewart was last year’s highest-paid actress, earning only $12.5 million per film ($34.5 million total). Cameron Diaz earned her cool $34 million this year from a combination of three movies.

Move over ladies, Scarlett is on a role — no pun intended.

Stars Without Stunt Doubles

It takes a strong character in Hollywood to say no to the stunt double option. I guess that’s why Kristen Stewart and Tom Cruise made our list of celebs that like to get down and dirty when it comes to stunts on the big screen.

Kristen recently admitted that she got thrown around a bit on the set of Snow White and the Huntsman.

“Director Rupert Sanders beat me up. He definitely threw me off cliffs and made me trudge through frigid, icy waters. It looks so cool, though. I can actually see the pain and discomfort on my face. It’s awesome,” Stewart revealed.

Most celebrities that perform their own stunts agree that the quality and authenticity of the scenes are very self-rewarding. More stars are opting-out of having a stunt double, as the shots are more realistic.

Below are a few actors that perform their own stunts:

Josh Hutcherson performed all of his own stunts for "The Hunger Games."

Nothing could stop 49-year-old Tom Cruise from performing his own stunts in the 4th rendition of "Mission Impossible."

Cameron Diaz performed most of her own stunts for "Knight and Day."
