Baseball season is coming to a close, and the diamond from “Field of Dreams” could be seeing its last day as well.

Go the Distance Baseball LLC has plans to transform the iconic field from the 1989 film. A $38 million project will convert Dyersville’s Field of Dreams from a single diamond, into 24 ball fields. According to Mike and Denise Stillman, head of Go the Distance Baseball LLC, the 193-acre farm in Iowa is the perfect place for a ballpark heaven.

Fans of the classic film tend to disagree, deeming the field as a piece of land that should remain untouched. Over the years, baseball fans of all ages have come to the popular tourist destination.

All we can say is that Kevin Costner is not going to be too happy about this.
