Melissa McCarthy Fires Extra on Set

Melissa McCarthy took action on the set of “Tammy” when one of the extras got a little too close with her child.

According to reports from TMZ, the extra forcefully “grabbed” McCarthy’s daughter on set. “Tammy” is a comedy starring McCarthy about a woman who is forced to take a road trip with her alcoholic grandmother.

Melissa McCarthy was saddened by her need to take action on the set while filming her movie. McCarthy’s reps have not released any further details regarding the incident.

 

 

Tina Fey & Steve Carell Gear Up For ‘Mail Order Groom’

Tina Fey and Steve Carell have been talking about ‘Mail Order Groom’ for the past three years. The project has finally received a tentative release date of 2014.

Tina Fey has has been very busy with “30 Rock,” while Carell has been hanging around on the set of “The Office.” The two now have some time to get the movie on track, since both comedians have completed their involvement with their television commitments.

The comedy will tell the story of a woman played by Tina Fey, who cannot find love and ends up settling for an Eastern European man. The story focuses on the mishaps Tina’s character encounters as she transports her newfound love (Steve Carell) to the United States.

The Griswolds May Return to the Big Screen

Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo will be making an appearance in the next version of “Vacation.” The gang is heading back to the big screen with Ed Helms and Christina Applegate.

This will be Chase and D’Angelo’s first appearance since the 1997 film, “Vegas Vacation.” The duo showed their faces in a series of Old Navy commercials a few years back.

Clark and Ellen Griswold will be returning with their full-grown son Rusty who now has a family of his own.

 

 

 

‘Identity Thief’ Steals the #1 Spot at the Box Office

Melissa McCarthy’s, Identity Thief stole the number one spot at the box office this weekend with an impressive $36.6 million. This was McCarthy’s first major lead role and she nailed it.

The romantic comedy zombie movie, Warm Bodies took the second place slot with $11.5 million. The highly anticipated Side Effects debuted at an embarrassing $10 million, while Bradley Cooper’s Silver Linings Playbook barely held on to fourth place with $6.9 million.

The box office was down forty-five percent overall from this time last year when The Vow and Safe House were in theaters.

 

 

Kristen Wiig Jumps on the ‘Anchorman’ Sequel

Director Adam McKay has finally confirmed Kristen Wiig’s role in the next ‘Anchorman’ movie.

According to MTV News, Wiig will play Brick Tamland’s new love interest. Brick, of course, is the mental meteorologist that is oddly obsessed with household items.

Details regarding the plot are still to be pieced together, but we are happy to know that Kristen is on board alongside the original cast from the first film.

“What If” Star Wars: Episode VII Movie Posters: Directed By Tarantino, Woody Allen, or Tim Burton

The folks at IGN must have been a little bored today because they decided to show us what it would be like if Quentin Tarantino, Woody Allen, Tim Burton, or Martin Scorsese were to direct the much anticipated ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’.

In hindsight doesn’t the decision to have J.J. Abrams direct the next saga make perfect sense?  I can think of at least a few other movie posters featuring directors that would be amusing to look at, but terrifying to think of.

Melissa McCarthy Punches Jason Bateman

Melissa McCarthy and Jason Bateman are currently filming “Identify Theft,” a comedy about a woman (McCarthy) who steals the identity of an innocent family man (Bateman).

While filming, one of McCarthy’s punches came a little too close to reality, causing Bateman to get a bloody nose. It has been rumored that McCarthy was nice enough to present Bateman with an apology gift which consisted of a photo of the actor with a Kleenex up his nose.

“Identity Theft” is due out in theaters February 8th.

The story follows the lives of the two characters Pete (Paul Rudd) and Debbie (Leslie Mann), and it takes place a few years after the events of the hit film ‘Knocked Up’.  It shows you what married life is all about at the age of 40.  The movie also stars Jason Segel, Melissa McCarthy and Albert Brooks playing Rudd’s dad.

Get Ready for ‘Ted’ at the Oscars

There’s no doubt that ‘Ted’ is a pretty popular guy after taking in $218 million at the domestic box office this year.

As a result, the bear earned himself an Oscar appearance at this year’s Academy Awards.Viewers will be treated to another round of hilarious jokes and inappropriate comments.

On Anderson Live, Mark confirmed that he and Ted will be making a special appearance as a part of the Oscar telecast this year. ‘Ted’ fans can also rejoice now that a sequel is in the works.
