Red Band Trailer for ‘Spring Breakers’ with Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens as Bikini Girls Gone Rogue!

Hide your teenagers because we have the red band trailer for Harmony Korine’s (‘Kids’) new film ‘Spring Breakers’ starring James Franco, Selena Gomez, Ashley Benson, Rachel Korine, Heather Morris, and Vanessa Hudgens.

The story follows four wild college girls who land in jail after robbing a restaurant in order to fund their spring break vacation.  They then find themselves being bailed out by a cornrow-wearing drug and arms dealer (James Franco) who wants them to do some dirty deeds for him in return.  Plenty of drugs, sex, and violence ensue as we follow the shenanigans of these bikini-clad girls.

From the same controversial writer as the movie ‘Kids’, you can be certain it will raise eyebrows and probably some outrage.  I went through the spring break phase, spending plenty of uninhibited and never to be repeated weeks in between the Copper Canyons of Arizona.  I’m not exactly proud of it, and in hindsight, I’m terrified of the thought of what parents don’t know about their sons and daughters…. mainly the daughters.  Ruh-roh, I sound like an old man!

Here’s the red band trailer…

Genre for the Weekend: Family

Holidays mean family, and we have the perfect family films for you to cuddle around the fire with this holiday season.

Alabama Moon“: After the unexpected death of his survivalist father, an eleven year old boy raised in the Alabama wilderness must learn how to make a home in the modern world.

Santa and the Three Bears“: When a park ranger tells two bear cubs about Christmas and Santa Claus, they want to skip hibernation to celebrate, but their mother doesn’t believe in Saint Nick and wants them to sleep.

Jack and the Beanstalk“: Abbott & Costello’s version of the famous fairy tale, about a young boy who trades the family cow for magic beans.

Can’t Be Heaven (Forever Together)“: A boy tries to solve the mysteries of growing up with the help of a ghostly friend in this comedy-drama. Thirteen-year-old Danny (Bryan Burke) is having more than his share of problems adjusting to life after the death of his father, and it doesn’t help that he’s falling in love with Julie (Michelle Trachtenberg), a girl who has been his best friend for years. Julie happens to have a crush on Archie (Michael Galeota), a new kid at school, and she finds Danny’s attempts to win her heart more comical than convincing.

Grand Prix: The Winning Tale“: A marriage causes a single dad to move to the “Big City” with his young daughter. In her new home, the girl embraces go-kart racing, taught to her by an unlikely teacher. 14 year old Alice could have been the most popular kid in her small town, but her father’s marriage has landed her in the “Big City”. Alice immediately runs into trouble with the school bully Rick. No matter what Alice does, Rick and his thugs are relentless in terrorizing the young girl and her new friends.
