Matthew McConaughey has been added to Martin Scorsese’s wolf pack in The Wolf of Wall Street. McConaughey is set to play Mark Hanna, the boss and mentor of Leonardo DiCaprio’s character, Jordan Belfort. Although it is not a major role in the film, it will be a huge moment in McConaughey’s career to work under Scorsese.

The movie follows a drug-addicted stockbroker who was found guilty for security fraud and money laundering in 1998. He is currently serving a 22-year sentence in prison. Scenes reveal the excessive partying and tumultuous lifestyle of Wall Street’s finest during the 1980s.

Matthew McConaughey’s Magic Mike and Killer Joe are currently in theaters. The Wolf of Wall Street begins filming in New York City this month.

Channing Tatum Wants to Produce and Star in Evel Knievel Biopic

For the ladies: Channing Tatum.

And for the gentlemen: Evel Knievel.

According to THR, Channing Tatum is showing no signs of a slowing career as he is in talks to produce and play the lead role as Evel Knievel in a new biopic on the famed stuntman.  The film will be based on Life of Evel, Stuart Baker’s 2008 book on Knievel.

Tatum is having an outstanding rise to the top of Hollywood in 2012 with ’21 Jump Street’, ‘Magic Mike’, and ‘The Vow’.  It doesn’t end there as he’s set to be in a list of blockbuster movies this year and next, including ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’, ‘The Bitter Pill’, ‘White House Down’, ‘Foxcatcher’, and ‘Jupiter Ascending’.

For those of you who have been living in a box your entire life, Evel Knievel was a daredevil during the mid-60s and 70s.  The real deal.  Knievel attempted over 75 ramp-to-ramp jumps, including jumping 19 cars with his trusty Harley Davidson.  Knievel also holds the Guinness World Book record for most bones broken at a painful 433.  Robert Craig Knievel passed away in 2007 at 69 years young due to declining health.

A Weekend Divided

Ladies across the country will be flocking to the movies this weekend — and not to see Ted. The fluffy teddy bear will be competing with Hollywood’s hottest for the #1 spot at the box office this weekend.

Magic Mike debuts this weekend with its 6-pack cast which includes Matthew McConaughey, Channing Tatum, and Joe Manganiello.

Date night will have to wait until next weekend for most, as groups of guys and gals will be meeting up to see their respective movies. For probably the first time in box office history, couples will be splitting up and then meeting up in the lobby after the movie this weekend.

This weekend’s box office is a true battle of the sexes to determine which film will end up on top. That is if they can knock Pixar’s Brave from it’s reign at the box office of course.

People Like Us will serve as the happy medium for those who do not wish to part ways at the theater.

What will it be this weekend, BIGSTAR fans? Ted or Mike?
