Not wanting to let down his little girl with the news, he takes her on a tour of the White House, when the complex is overtaken by a heavily armed paramilitary group.  Now, with the nation’s government falling into chaos and time running out, it’s up to Cale to save the president, his daughter, and the country.

WATCH: Trailer For Submarine Movie ‘PHANTOM’ Starring Ed Harris and David Duchovny

Here’s the first trailer for the World War III submarine film ‘Phantom’, starring Ed Harris and David Duchovny.  It looks really good, and I hope this does well in theaters since you just don’t see Duchovny on the big screen too often.  The ‘Californication’ actor’s last major film role was ‘The X-Files: I Want To Believe’, which did poorly considering the cult following it has.

The movie, set to be released March 1st 2013, also stars William Fitchtner, Sean Patrick Flanery, Johnathon Schaech, Lance Henriksen, Jason Beghe, Jason Gray-Stanford, and Julian Adams.

Synopsis:

Ed Harris plays the captain of a Cold War Soviet missile submarine who has secretly been suffering from seizures that alter his perception of reality.  Forced to leave his wife and daughter, he is rushed into a classified mission, where he is haunted by his past and challenged by a rogue KGB group (led by David Duchovny) bent on seizing control of the ship’s nuclear missile.  With the fate of humanity in his hands, Harris discovers he has been chosen for this mission in the belief he would fail.  ’Phantom’ is a suspense submarine thriller about extraordinary men facing impossible choices.

Facing cutthroat competition from guerilla street magician Steve Gray (Jim Carrey), whose cult followingsurges with each outrageous stunt, even their show looks stale.
