WATCH: First Trailer for ‘DEAD MAN DOWN’ Starring Colin Farrell and Noomi Rapace

Just released is the first trailer for the upcoming crime thriller ’Dead Man Down’ due out March 8th, 2013.

The movie is directed by Niels Arden Oplev, who also directed the original version of ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’, and stars Colin Farrell, Noomi Rapace, Dominic Cooper and Terrence Howard.

Here’s the official synopsis…

“Following the cinematic phenomenon ‘The Girl With the DragonTattoo,’ acclaimed filmmaker Niels Arden Oplev and brooding beauty Noomi Rapace reunite for another thrilling tale of vengeance.  Colin Farrell joins the prestigious team as brave enforcer Victor, right hand man to an underground crime lord in New York City.  He seeks to avenge the death of his wife and daughter caused by his boss.  When his employer is threatened by a mysterious killer, Victor also becomes detective.  Victor is seduced and blackmailed by Beatrice (Noomi Rapace), a victim turned avenger whose intense chemistry leads them spiraling into payback delivered in violent catharsis.  From producer Neal Moritz (‘The Fast and the Furious’ franchise, ‘I Am Legend’) and Joel Wyman (‘Fringe’, ‘Keen Eddie’) comes a triumphant action thriller, a powerful portrait of the relationship between two people caught in the crosshairs of revenge.”

PROMETHEUS: Third Viral Video Released

A third viral video has been released by FOX for Ridley Scott’s ‘PROMETHEUS’ featuring Noomi Rapace as Dr. Elizabeth Shaw.

It features a disturbing, yet fascinating, video message from Dr. Shaw to Peter Weyland (played by Guy Pearce) where Dr. Shaw is imploring Weyland Industries for financial assistance on her research and the services of the “Prometheus” spaceship. (Don’t worry, there are NO spoilers)

This video gives you a unique view into Dr. Shaw’s persistence of exploring the Alien planet because she believes it’s a place where answers to life’s biggest questions can be found.

For you ‘Alien’ fans out there, take notice of “Yutani” throughout the video.  Remember how it is Weyland-Yutani Corp in the previous movies? Are they suggesting this tech has yet to merge with Weyland? I guess we don’t know yet…

‘PROMETHEUS’: New International Trailer & Images

Visionary filmmaker Ridley Scott returns to the genre he helped define by creating ‘Prometheus’, an original science fiction epic set in the most dangerous corners of the universe. Conceived as a prequel to Scott’s 1979 science fiction horror film ’Alien’, a separate story was developed that precedes the events of ‘Alien’, but which is not directly connected to the film.

The plot:

In the late 21st century, a star map is discovered within the imagery of Aztec, Mesopotamian and Magdalenian cultures. The crew of the spaceship Prometheus is sent on a scientific expedition to follow the map as part of a mission to find the origins of humanity. Exploring the advanced civilization of an extraterrestrial race, they soon face a threat to humanity’s very existence.

The film stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba, Logan Marshall-Green and Charlize Theron.
