Angelina Jolie is ‘Maleficent’

After Snow White and the Huntsman, we can’t get enough of fairy tales with a twist. Luckily, Angelina Jolie will be starring in the next Disney production with a twist, Maleficent. The movie tells the story of the villain from Sleeping Beauty and reveals the events that made her curse Aurora.

Also starring Elle Fanning (Aurora), Imelda Staunton, Miranda Richardson, Juno Temple, and Lesley Manville, the film is scheduled to be released March 14, 2014 in 3-D. Production for the film has begun in London.

Stars Without Stunt Doubles

It takes a strong character in Hollywood to say no to the stunt double option. I guess that’s why Kristen Stewart and Tom Cruise made our list of celebs that like to get down and dirty when it comes to stunts on the big screen.

Kristen recently admitted that she got thrown around a bit on the set of Snow White and the Huntsman.

“Director Rupert Sanders beat me up. He definitely threw me off cliffs and made me trudge through frigid, icy waters. It looks so cool, though. I can actually see the pain and discomfort on my face. It’s awesome,” Stewart revealed.

Most celebrities that perform their own stunts agree that the quality and authenticity of the scenes are very self-rewarding. More stars are opting-out of having a stunt double, as the shots are more realistic.

Below are a few actors that perform their own stunts:

Josh Hutcherson performed all of his own stunts for "The Hunger Games."

Nothing could stop 49-year-old Tom Cruise from performing his own stunts in the 4th rendition of "Mission Impossible."

Cameron Diaz performed most of her own stunts for "Knight and Day."
