From Blue Sky Studios, the creators of ‘Ice Age’ and ‘Rio’, comes a new animated film titled ‘Epic’ featuring the voices of Amanda Seyfried, Josh Hutcherson, Beyoncé Knowles, Colin Farrell, Aziz Ansari, Jason Sudeikis, Johnny Knoxville, and Steven Tyler.

A teenager finds herself transported to a deep forest setting where a battle between the forces of good and the forces of evil is taking place. She bands together with a rag-tag group characters in order to save their world — and ours.

Queen Beyonce

Move over Elizabeth, there’s a new queen in town. Beyonce is back and has just been chosen to be the voice of Queen Tara in an upcoming 3-D flick from the makers of “Ice Age” and “Rio.” Twentieth Century Fox has just announed the new CGI-animated film “Epic,” also starring Colin Farrell, Amanda Seyfried, Aziz Ansari, Pitbull, Steven Tyler, and more.

The film tells the tale of a teenage girl that enters a secret world in which she must save, all while encountering interesting characters along the way. This is the first reported role that Beyonce has confirmed since she left the entertainment world on maternity leave.

The movie is scheduled to be released May 24, 2013, which means that Blue Ivy will probably have to wait a few years before she can see her mommy as Queen on the big screen.

Video: Johnny Depp Joins Black Keys for MTV Movie Awards Performance

Johnny Depp received the Generation Award at Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards at the Gibson Amphitheater in Los Angeles by performing two songs with The Black Keys in one of the more memorable moments of the ceremony.

And instead of an acceptance speech, Depp wowed the crowd by strapping on a yellow guitar and playing “Gold on the Ceiling” with band members Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney.

But before going on to play “Lonely Boy,” Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler ad Joe Perry took the stage to present Depp with the award at which time he gave this brief speech:
