Today Chanel announced that 48 year old Brad Pitt will be the new face of Chanel No. 5, the world’s leading women’s fragrance. We get he’s good looking and all, but as a male will he have what it takes to push this product line as well as his predecessors such as Catherine Deneuve, Nicole Kidman and Audrey Tautou?
Which brings us to our next point. Some celebrity/product pairings just don’t make a lot of sense. In fact they can be downright bizarre. Take a look at these other odd celeb endorsements…
David Beckham / Sharpie pens. Is Sharpie trying to be sexy or does he just sign that many autographs?
Mikhail Gorbachev / Louis Vuitton. Former Communist leader and head of state of the Soviet Union. You’re kidding right?
Ozzy Osbourne / I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter. Zzzbunnner izzgoood ya knew zzzbut garble garble. SOLD!
Olsen Twins / Milk. Umm, pretty sure these girls don’t eat, let alone drink milk.
Paris Hilton / Carl’s Jr. OK, we get it. Sex sells. But we highly doubt this heir is eating anything remotely like that.
Kim Kardashian / Charmin. She’s agreed to be the official face of the toilet paper company. Insert jokes here.
Justin Bieber / OPI Nail Polish. The beauty expert teen girls can trust? A 16-year-old boy.
Helen Mirren / Wii Fit Plus. Rated E for Extremely rich. She was paid $800,000 for the 2-day shoot.
