How can I watch movies at BIGSTAR?

To watch movies on BIGSTAR, you must first have an active BIGSTAR account and an active membership or Free Trial. A Basic BIGSTAR account is always free and only requires a valid email address and password. You can sign up for an account at any time by visiting http://www.bigstar.tv.

Upon creating your new account, you are then prompted to choose a membership plan. If you are a new member, you are entitled to a 30 day free trial of the BIGSTAR Family Plan (normally $4.99/month). We also offer an After Dark membership plan (normally $9.99/month) however, we do not offer a free trial due to the explicit nature of the content provided. If you start in the Free Trial and try to upgrade, you will be charged.

Both paid monthly memberships allow you to stream our vast selection of quality titles anytime, anywhere from almost any internet-ready device. We have a number of capable devices that allow you access to your BIGSTAR account, such as: PC & MAC, and laptop computers, mobile phones and tablets that use Android, iOS, and Palm WebOS operating systems TV and other devices, such as the Roku Box and PopBox.

Jumping right into your favorite movie is a simple as logging into your BIGSTAR account on your device of choice and hit play!

How do I watch my movies from a web browser?

To watch a movie from your internet browser, simply login at http://www.bigstar.tv, select a title, and begin enjoying countless hours of entertainment via our HTML5 friendly web player.

How do I watch my movie in full screen?

To view the movie in full screen, select the button on the bottom right of the player, containing two small arrows pointing at each corner. Click it again to reverse the full-screen option. At the top of the player is an icon with 2 overlapping squares that allow you to "pop out" the player into it's own window. This allows you to make the viewing window any size you want by clicking and dragging the corner.

What devices can I use to watch movies at BIGSTAR.tv?

We currently support: Roku, Mac/Windows/Linux (within a web browser: Firefox, Chrome, or Safari are recommended. Internet Explorer versions 7 & 8 should work also), Palm WebOS Smartphones (Palm Pre/Pixi), iPhone, iPad, Android, PopBox, Vizio TVs, Yahoo! Widgets

What format are your movies are in?

Standard Definition: (3 versions depending on your connection) 375kbps, 500kbps, and 1,000kbp MP4@480P.

High Definition: (2 versions depending on your connection) 2,500kbps, 3,500kbps and 4,500kbps MP4@720P and 1080P

The audio for all our movies is in stereo, 256kbs AAC variable bitrate.

How do I adjust the volume?

Volume may be adjusted on the bottom right-hand section of the playback screen by clicking or hovering over the second button from the left. Lifting the adjuster will raise the volume and lowering it will reduce the volume level. Clicking the button will mute the volume, and clicking it again will remove the mute.
