Sun Professor Emeritus Drexel University student of Dr. Ku, classmate of President Jaing and mentor to the President son . Dr. Sun speaks of the concentration camps and the Japanese occupation Shortly before his sad passing, Edmund Bacon signed onto our film. Ed was the brilliant beloved Philadelphia City Planner colleague of I. M. Pei and author of ' Design of Cities' his magnum opus.Ed Bacons early years in Beijing influenced his career for the rest of his life... 'The cities groupings of purple roofed buildings leading to red and golden roofed buildings of the Emperors forbidden city taught me that city planning is about movement through space, an architectural sequence of sensors and stimuli, up and down, light and dark, color and rythm.' The celebrated Shanghai tenor GeQun Wang will sing a Tang dynasty poem by Li Po( Song of Pure Peace) in Edmund Bacons honor. The piece was composed by Dr. Ku, both men taught at University of Pennsylvania.
