In this beloved and unforgettable classic – the last of MGM’s seven Lassie Adventures – Jonathan Harvey (Paul Kelly) strikes gold and returns home after years of prospecting to learn that his former partner passed away, orphaning his young son, Tommy (Gary Gray). To keep the boy company while he and his new partner (Bruce Cowling) sort out their gold findings, Jonathan leaves Tommy in the care of his loyal collie Shep (Lassie). But when Jonathan doesn’t return home, Shep, sensing foul play, sets out to find his owner and winds up the target of a poisonous trap.
