An economically depressed town in eastern Germany finds its collective fortune and libido rejuvenated when the local soccer club negotiates the purchase of superstar African footballer "Blondi." It doesn't take long for Blondi's presence to trigger a renewed sense of civic pride and a rash of bed swapping and infidelity as the citizens try to reconcile their prejudices with their lust and jealousy. With the championship game approaching, tensions mount and lead to an unexpected climax for all involved.
